What we do

We employ more than 5,800 people across our three hospital sites – King’s Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital. Our dedicated team of more than 380 volunteers give up their time to make a difference and enhance the experience of our patients and visitors.

As an NHS Foundation Trust, we are accountable to the Council of Governors which represents the views of members.
We are proud to boast a membership of more than 13,000 people, allowing our local communities opportunities to influence decisions and to demonstrate their loyalty and support for our hospitals.

We are proud of our improvements at Sherwood Forest Hospitals and recognise we can improve further – an intention set out in our ambitious five-year Improving Lives strategy.

We know good quality healthcare can only be delivered by focusing on the experience of people, be it patients and the public or the colleagues you work with.
